Eric, coupling caps are the passive parts that most affect the sound quality of a component, IMO. Nothing else comes close, not even the volume control/attenuator.
Yes, I recommend that you use the best caps you can afford, provided that you like their sound.
Just a reminder: BGs have a very long break-in period, they are best used in components that can stay powered on 24/7 (CDP / preamps).
