Tantalum caps are very directional, meaning that they will distort on the negative-going portion of the signal.
It's an engineering mistake to put a tantalum cap in a coupling position, this was proved by a Richard Marsh paper more than 20 years ago. Still, we find current products with tantalum caps.
Slow is the progress of science when bean counters control the budgets...
Black Gate N and NX are true nonpolar caps. NX is the best sounding.
Give them about 300 hours to break in, sit back, relax and enjoy the music.
AFAIK, these are the best sounding, most transparent 220 uF caps available.
For lower values (bellow 20 uF) there are excellent film caps, like Auricaps and Hovland.
Good luck
