Wow that is a difficult one!
First I must admit I am not famiiar with this particular Marantz model.
Try to remember how you did remove the tray; than proceed in reverse order.
Another possibility I often do is to try the CDplayer letting 'swallow' the tray.
Insert the tray ; apply power; most players now swallow the tray. Or alternatively push the tray loading button. Be carefull with small plastic pins or protruding pieces of plastic; they easily break off, especially with Philips(=Marantz). Never apply force. You can also try to turn the loading toothweel in in the tray out position by hand, power off, and then load the tray. It sounds all very fuzzy, well it is; some real technocrats invented these mechanisms.
