It's probably not a good idea to actually try this yourself at home, as the liquid nitrogen -300 deg Centigrade is difficult to work with and really requires large dewers or cryogenic coolers that are computer controlled. The liquid nitrogen must never be allowed to actually touch the materials being treated. Costs for using the services of Cryopro or Control Thermal Processing, Inc. are very reasonable and no hassle. Freezing materials overnight in freezer at home has many similar benefits to, and is less of a hassle than, the cryo labs.
