For the more adventurous, you could try liquid nitrogen, I think you can buy it a welding supply stores, and it isn't very expensive. For the cryogenic process to really work you want to get as close to absolute zero(-273C) as possible, at this temperature molecules stop moving, and when you SLOWLY raise the temperature the molecules redistribute themselves in an uniform manner. It also helps to slowly reduce the temperature because the molecules slow down and disperse evenly. olen.
