RE: Sonic characteristerics of Oyaide C-237 and C-246

Sondek,

Thanks for the post. Exactly what I was looking for. Here is the story. I bought two Dream State Dreamcatcher 20A PC's used and one was defective. I actually got jolted when I plugged the IEC into my amp. I read that they came standard with P-079 connectors. I thought the sound was too dark but very holographic. I ordered two C-246's. I then opened up the defective PC and discovered that the wires were exposed through rough handling. I also found that they were installed with C-246's. I should have looked before I ordered. I will use them for something else. I am replacing the cheesey IEC's and some internal wiring on my amps and preamp. I will try to use something there to address the sound. I have a bunch of different IEC's (about 8) by IeGO, Furutech and Oyaide. I am also going to use Acrolink 7N4030II for internal wiring on the amp and preamp. I hope the first try is the right one. Thanks again.

Bart
