As the other poster said, if there's a cable box disconnect everything from it, cable, power, signal cables. If this doesn't work then try the following "start small" diagnostic procedure.
Unplug everything except the amp. Pull all the other breakers in your house. Disconnect all interconnects to the amp under test, leaving just the speaker wires. Then start connecting things back together, one at a time. If connecting a device causes hum try reversing the power plug, using a "cheater" if necessary. (Keep your body dry to preclude the possibility of a bad shock.)
