RE: How did you measure the temp?

Well, the hand certainly works to note a difference. There are "point-and-shoot" digital temp readers that I don't believe are pricey, and can be used for any number of applications. It would be neat to find out just how many degrees of change there were. This technique could also be used to measure the operating temperature of transformers before and after cryogenic treatment.

It's good information to have available, and having it would certainly quash the naysayers.
