You could use jacketed in-wall rated cable. The outer jacket will provide protection of the two insulated conductors. You could also provide extra protection from physical damage by installing the cable in flame-retardant split-loom tubing. Cableorganizer.com sells this tubing. If the cable will be in direct contact with earth or water, there is also direct burial speaker cable that is rated for all kinds of outdoor use.
