Thanks for the advice. I may try that (learning how to solder). I am a machinist and have made my own footers, shelves, etc. but DIY cap rolling will be a new challenge. I agree though, it is the only way that makes sense. I could pay someone lots of money to do the soldering for me but I need to hear the results and make adjustments myself. I wish it were as simple as tube rolling (that I can handle). One basic question, how do you determine the value of unmarked caps (resistors I understand) and does the circuit need to be energized to do so? Thanks.
