I meant for an optional DPDT switch to be used vs. SPST for the decreased contact resistance of two sets of contacts across the resistor. You should use a circuit breaker on the transformer primary instead of a switch. I suggest something like a 15-amp Potter & Brumfield magnetic-hydraulic breaker(part #PB430-ND at DigiKey). For the resistor, try a 10Ω/25W (Parts Express part #017-10). In my balanced power unit I used Pass & Seymour dead front GFCIs.
