I have been keeping an eye on this thread for the past couple of days and thought I would toss in my $.02. Regarding the Auricaps in a product like the VH Audio Hotbox for example, I suspect that the heavy gauge all-metal construction of the Hotbox and confined internal space should help to contain and extinguish any flame. Compare this to your run-of-the-mill TV set with its empty space, wire bundles and extensive use of plastics in its construction.
