IF I recall correctly, looking at the pot from the front, the left terminal is for a loudness control, forget it.

Again looking from the front, the second tab is IN and the fourth tab is Ground. The third one is the wiper OUT. One row of tabs is for the left channel, the other for the right channel.

To be sure, your DMM should read the pot's full resistance from 2 to 4 and a variable value from 2 to 3.
Turn the pot axle fully clockwise. The two tabs that read zero ohms between them are wiper and IN.
Turn fully counter-clockwise, you will find close to zero ohms between wiper and GND. Should be easy to figure it out, as long as you ignore the extra tab.
