If you asked about battery output bypass caps, I found that high-quality small value polypropilene caps sound best. Teflon may sound even better, but they are very expensive.
There is no need to spoil the batterie's low impedance, low distortion with large electolytic caps.
In my own 100% battery-run tube preamp, I use 3 uF Eros MKP as a bypass cap for the line stage (one 6922 / 7309 tube).
I guess a phono stage would like a little bit more capacitance,
probably 10 uf.
