I can receive WGBH nicely in Southern NH (I'm about 10 miles west of Nashua) in my home, but not reliably in a car. It takes a modestly good tuner, but nothing spectacular. A Fisher FM-200 or HH Scott LT110 work well. Antenna's aren't much of an issue for me - my house is located on the top of a good sized hill about 350' above the surroundings.Getting up my driveway in the winter is a whole nuther problem!
The evenings just wouldn't be the same without Eric Jackson or Bob Parlocha. I sure do miss Mai Cramer :(
