I borrowed a Gamma V to try on a whim and was amazed at how much better it sounded than anything else I had listened to. It had exactly the same symptoms you describe but after hearing it, there was no going back to a lesser tuner and I bought it anyway. In my case, the fix was only $C70. I can't recall what the problem was but if you would like me to, I can call the tech and see if he can remember back a couple of years.Regards
