Although rated at 35 wpc, most ST70's seem to deliver more like 28-30 "honest" watts.

I ran my Altec A-7's with an ST70 for a few days, but things had a habit of bouncing off of the shelves... I went back to my 2A3's.

I'm sure you have more than sufficient headroom with the NS1000's.
