Thanks for the reply. So do you think they just halved the current? Or possibly left off the second filament winding?

If this is true, I wonder why they didn't just use a power tranny from the st70 for each monoblock and taped the unused leads off. Each amp would have had all the current and voltage it would ever hope to use. I would think this would have been cheaper since the PT for the st70 was already in production.

Any more thoughts and information would be appreciated.
