Home Tubes Asylum

Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ

a small addition

Howdy. If it were an RCA WT-100A I could see $1200 but for that thing I think not. I do own one though. Has a fluorescent lamp housing at the
top for illumination. I installed a fluorescent black light in the fixture which was great because the nomenclature and needle inside the
meter fluoresce beautifully. Perfect illumination with the lights down
to run a movie. In storage now. Give me an Amplitrex AT-1000. The tester
shown was supplied to drug stores and the like to foster the sale of new
tubes. This was to bypass the TV repair man and the games he might play
with your tubes with his tube tester. Kind of like an electronic Ouija
board. Do it yourself is part of the American character.
