Hi, ET. Do some research on qualified people to tweak up your 539. Kara
Chaffee of de Havilland hifi does this work, is eminently qualified to
do it, and is a very nice person to boot. If you are really serious about
testing investigate the Amplitrex AT-1000. You can hook up a Dymo printer to it and easily print a little tag showing test results. Power tubes are special test subjects that should be run under dynamic conditions. Get on the horn, take notes, and get your machine in the hands of someone qualified. Don't ship it off based on a cursory song and dance.
