Hi, Jazz Dude. Amp shown is a low power audio power amp with controls
cut into the Budd box type chassis wrinkle finish. The L bracket looks
to be improvised to hold the chassis down where it was installed. This
is not a piece of broadcast equipment. All the knobs are different and
the pot shafts are extended. You can easily remove the tubes using the
bases to exert force not the glass. Be careful and gentle. Each tube
should have type imprinted on it. The large tube looks to be a full
wave rectifier - 5Y3 perhaps? The little channel frame transformer looks
like a microphone input. This amp probably has line in and mic in. Id
say a fair description would be: low power public address type amp with
line level and microphone level (may be high impedance) inputs. Power
tubes could be 6V6. End of transmission. Enjoy!
