As noted below, and dismissed by some, the B&K 707 and 747 are very good testers as long as they are calibrated correctly. They are transconductance testers, not just emissions type like many of the others. Any tester you get is going to need to be cleaned and cal'd. If it has electrolytics..they will need changing. Hickoks are good too...and more expensive because of supply/demand/complication. TV7's, 539's....but expect to pay more. From your orig question...I don't think that is the route you want to go. There are other brands out there that other inmates can attest to..but for your wants..my vote goes to the B&K's. Good luck!
