Those were some of the best 12AX7's made. Generally not a noisy tube at all, and Baldwin, like some of the other organ manu's, screened many of their tubes before put into service. Allen was another real picky builder.
Don't let the below complaints about noise sway you into some "now conventional wisdom" that Ray Blackplate 12AX7 are noisy tubes. You're hearing the exceptions here. I'd bet aging circuit components or bad design have more to do with the "noise" than the actual tubes themselves.
