You shouldn't have any problems. Just bias them correctly. I've run all those older tubes, both NOS and used at very high plate voltages and never once had any problems because with the proper bias setting for the respective plate dissipation, you're going to be OK.The Re-issues are only OK IMNSHO. Nothing to write home about. Pretty generic in tone. I found that to be the case with their 6550 also....and quickly sold off both types. I've been lucky though to have a very large amount of NOS stuff here, so it's been easy to dismiss "some" of the newcomers. I'm sure I'd be listening more intently if I didn't have this luxury. I find the new KT66 and Svet 6L6GC or EL34 really nice sounding.
