If you are wondering about readings and your tester hasn't been cal'd, well then that's a problem. Best to get that tester up to snuff first, then see what happens on your readings.
Personally, I wouldn't even start to consider readings unless my tester was rebuilt and cal'd according to the TM or manu's cal procedures. I've got (3) 539C's and (5) TV7-D/U's and a B&K 707 and have rebuilt them all. Lot of time, lot of hours...but the readings that come out are "relatively" good!
But that's just me.
