Second that, Doc B. The 'Saga' is packed with early tube information. I have oft wondered about the book that was supposed to continue where 'Saga' [part one] ended. I don't think it ever was published. Was there a manuscript?
I thought Tyne was a man until I saw the documentary 'Empire of the Air'. In it are segments with Geraldine Tyne offering her sage comments on Lee deForest's laboratory antics in how he came to invent the 'triode' tube. This escaped Edison (boy, was he pissed) and it took Armstrong to understand and explain how it worked. De Forest never could! Was Gerald Tyne a pen name? Geraldine Tyne obviously is a veritable fountain of information on the subject of tubes.
