I am probably not the best person to ask about the sonic merits of cryogenic tubes because I haven't used them. Maybe someone here has some hands on experience with them.

I just know the matching and testing process is identical for both Black Sable and regular new production tubes. It's not the "best testing" ones that make it, it's the toughest ones. The ones that actually survive the cryo treatment are then tested and graded just as normal tubes would be.
