New Sensor purchased many original tube names including TungSol and can now label whatever they want as a "TungSol". There is no comparison between the original TungSol 5881's you're holding and the current production Russian tubes imho. The same has happened with Amperex, Gold Lion and others.
TungSol was a good old USA company, and the 5881 was an amazing tube introduced in 1952 - it is a 6L6 variant with a smaller bulb, and was much more rugged than a standard 6L6. The plate dissipation was uprated from 19 to 23 watts. The plates were painted with Zirconium to aid in gas absorption during the life of the tube.
