MillHouse, hi. What to do with them? Do you have a 300B amp you favor now? If so, run them in it. Even if you decided to put them on the shelf for the reasons you mention power tubes benefit by being run at intervals rather than just sitting 100% idle. Do you like the sound of them better than any other 300B? If they didn't come out on top in listening comparisons I would not run them 100%. Quite a nice dilemma. Can you have your cake and eat it too? No. But a few bites now and then will make it last longer. Another thing. What is a 'JD' amp? Does it run the finals hard? If the amp beats up the finals I might not run my only pair of WE 300B at all. If you do decide to sell them keep in mind the value of the dollar is horrible. You have to ask yourself - would I be happier to own a pair of WE 300B or listen to little pile of cash? You can't run the money in your amps. A few points to ponder.
