Stephen, hi. You may have to bite the bullet and source a Manley Massive Passive EQ or Doug Fearn's (D W Fearn) single channel unit. I chose the Massive Passive because to do 2 channel with Fearn would have cost about twice the price of the MP. I do love the Fearn VT-2 mic pre so it was a tough choice. The Massive Passive is quite simply an amazing machine. It can and does work eq wonders. Both devices use L & C and tubes to get signal back to unity gain. I think if you factor in the cost of parts plus labor you will find the Massive Passive an attractive choice. Once you use it you'll wonder how you ever suffered along without it. Doug's eq is close to the Pultec L & C model too but superior. Happy Listening and Happy Mastering. Disclaimer: not affiliated with Manley Labs or D W Fearn.
