Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |

As a tangent to my post below on using paper in oil capacitors, I was wondering if anyone knows the effect on the sound of the ST70 of the darkening of the phenolic PCB around the 7199 driver tubes. Does the roasted material become less electrically inert or more conductive? Does it have capacitive effects? Can it cause the amp to be tilted towards high frequencies?
