Try the Philips/Valvo (can be labeled anything but is distinguished by the A frame getter support) 7DJ8/PCC88. It is the quietest signal tube I have ever heard. It also beats the best 6922's (Siemens, Amperex) in most parameters (more dynamic with better extension on both ends). It is just slightly less refined than the best 6922's. It also will be very long lived compared to the others. It will cost about $50 a pair at vacuumtubes.net. I have 16 of them and only one is not dead quiet.
