You guys need more detail to see why I labeled him a scam artist.
After seven emails he sent the shipping charge ($40) for the more expensive auction $152. I won one auction at $52 the day before.
The reason you don't (ebay rules) pay for the item and then receive the shipping charges is to avoid rip offs. This is a seller that is upset that he is only getting $203 for two tubes at the end of their life.
This is demonstrated by the $40 dollar shipping charge for one tube.
He didn't want to let me have the tube that sold for $51. I hope that clarifies the reason I have for labeling him a scam artist. It is a much longer story than that but I haven't the time to fully recount it.
If you feel comfortable dealing with him be my guest. BTW a NOS pair of single plate 2A3's go for $600 to $800. They are correctly in the top five tubes for audio.
