Natale, hello. Each to his own. The Premier Ten was the last of the "classic constructed" cj pre-amps - active switches, pots, etc.
The Premier Fourteen is a step up from the Ten - but again a lot of this is subjective. The Fourteen was the first pre to go to logic driven switching. With excellent tubes it yields a wonderful sound with very low Z output to drive virtually anything. I still prefer my Fourteen to the LS17/LS172. The Ten and Fourteen use 6GK5 single triode per tube 7-pin rather than dual-triodes noval pin. Hope this helps.
