rispoli_1, hi. Sounds like the 12AT7 is the input tube. That would be the voltage amplifier. If the amp is push-pull with conventional beam tube pairs in the output (6550, KT-88, EL-34 et al) the driver/phase splitter most likely is a 6FQ7/6CG7. This is an off the wall shot in the dark. It could be a 12BH7 too, although the other choice is the most likely. Can you get a schematic on this thing? There are other choices (5687, 7044, 7119 ad nauseum). Where were these amps mostly sold?
