Kevin's one of the good guys. Any seller who owns that tester can most likely spot these as a fake. The text also wreaks of hype - which would be unnecessary for real KT88's. The seller also tells you to check jtrade-us for his feedback - apparently a separate account for purchases.As far as I know RCA never branded a KT88. The did rebrand TungSol 6550's
The boxes are a style that is common on modern fakes.
The RCA printing on the base is wrong.
There is way too much getter for a "real" KT88, typical of the Chinese stuff.
The bottles are too squatty.
The bases are black.
There was never a "made in germany" KT88. Plus the boxes say "made in USA".
Not visible in the picture, but Chinese KT88's also have a getter ring that looks like a cheap washer.
The plate structure and mica's also looks like the Chinese KT88's.
They test like new for a reason...
Honestly, once you've seen a few GEC KT88's and a few Chinese ones they're as easy to spot as a H202 blonde.
