I've been eyeing this kit on eBay as well for the same price. I rebuilt a Dynaco ST70 not long ago and wish I'd have field stipped the unit and gotten it rechromed. Many is the day I'd like to disassemble the ST70 and do exactly what this guy has done with the kit.
Personally, I'll probably wait until such time as I can find a beater ST70 with good iron and do just what this guy is doing. However, that being said I bet the amount of time and money I invest will come to right around $795.
If you want a mint ST70 without the hassle of a full restoration, this is certainly an option, albeit a slightly expensive option.
