These were widely distributed by Phillips in Brazil during the 70s, for studios and radio stations.
They sound excellent IMO, very musical, warm and detailed. Durability is good, at least 10,000 hours.
Their weakness is microphonics, about 80% are microphonic. In summary, make sure you buy selected low-microphonics tubes.
I found a friendly retailer who let me test all his E88ccs for noise and microphonics. Out of about 40 tubes I got four nice pairs.
