Re: DC voltages leaking ?

Hum is almost impossible to trace, anyway measure VAC at the preamp output and move a few wires, change the transformer location/orientation and remember to isolate all the RCA female connectors with the supplied nylon washers.
The RCA ground tabs should converge to a screw in the chassis midway between the input RCAs.
Likewise all the signal ground connections: intut resistor GND, volume pot GND, cathode resistor GND, cathode cap GND, output resistor GND and last PS cap ground, all should be connected with short, thick wires to the central ground (star ground).
Twist tightly the heater wires and never run them or any AC wiring close to or paralell to signal wires.
Shielded cable from input to pot and from pot to grid also helps.
Good luck
Carlos
