Douglas -I think Jimmy is correct, the 866JR takes less filament current, 2.5A by most spec sheets (although I've seen 3A on one website).
They are very pretty, although I've had problems with the older globe types. I'm not sure if they are gassy or what. Despite proper conditioning and slow-turn-on techniques the older tubes will flash over at much less than their rated PIV's. The later ST's work nicely, once you give them a good conditioning.
Good news is that 2.5v/10a transformers are very common surplus because of all of the old transmitter stuff that used 866A's or later equivalents. They are pretty useless for 45's or 2A3's because of the higher voltage output at lower currents.
