Cheap-jack, sorry to bring bad news, your connections will turn green in a couple of months.
Common silicone caulk has ascetic acid and smells of vinegar. It is also called "acid cure" caulk, it attacks copper within hours.I have found that aquarium "neutral cure" silicone caulk does not seem to corrode metals.
