Kevin -Why bother to convert to 6AR6's? The 6L6GC is easy to locate and inexpensive. Plus it's a good place to hide those flea market pulls that test good but look really ugly... Even the Russian stuff works nicely in the IP-32.
Personally I've never liked the sound of regulated supplies on linestages. Linestages draw such little current and are a relatively constant load - easy to just build a well filtered supply.
The IP-32 does get pretty warm after a few hours, plus with the exposed adjustment knobs there is always the risk that someone will bumb into it and feed your linestage 400vdc.
Save the IP-32 for your design bench. It's a great tool with Filament, b+ and bias supplies as well as voltage/current metering.
Enjoy!
