RE: Guitar Amplifier finally finished!

It is magnificent! Wood choice and finish is lovely. As it happens I too am finishing up a instrument amp with outboard speaker for my son - this
to amplify a Theremin. We both play. He is better. The 829B is the perfect
choice as to 'looks' but 6DZ7 would be a good choice too. Your work on
this project is an inspiration. Your son will treasure this gift for a
long long time. It is a project filled with love - the best kind. Interestingly the little RCA program amp that has served as the basis for
the Theremin project uses a single ended 7868. Input tube was 6AW8. Now it is 5814. Lots of fun. I relish the fact the PT primary specs at 125V AC and the outputs are 4,8,32,125. My goal is speaker with 8 Ohm drivers
probably full range 5" using 4 drivers in series operated from the 32 Ohm
taps.
