RE: I want to have quiet playback on 100db speakers

OK ,I'm really thankful for all the responses . I do look for sort of advice and for something else too, because I do demonstrate obvious lack of knowledge :) It was not my intention to be condescending trough the "big boy " speaker perspective . Truth is, it was an almost dumpster find (considering the price )and I try to make it work. Speakers were not PA and are built to extremely high standard, reinforced 2.25" baltic birch and matrix structure. They have a potential of not producing " crappy under-damped bass).
I agree that the question of quiet amp and bass performance are separate issues and should not be mixed. But nothing else is going on here so why not.
Now take Dynaco St35 probably also measuring flat to some twentish Hz at full power and play it next to Audio Research Classic 120 on the same low level -Do you notice difference ? (excuse again my lack of knowledge and out of the hat example) I'm going to bet my left hand that if you put your assuming (probably wrongly) petite amp next to KR audio honker you too will hear a difference even on your crappy over damped monitor which hardly have any potency under 100hz -See how it works ;?)
The forum is extremely boring these days , my amp is humming trough the speakers and I thought I'll throw some straw, I never claimed to be a good electrician.
