Paul, As just another member of the Peanut Gallery here, I have the impression that the LSES is less appropriate for a preamp vs an SET or low power PP amplifier, especially a phono preamp. In a phono preamp, I don't think you want to tolerate the levels of noise that are tolerated by LSES aficionados in the context of their amplifier designs. Plus, the low DCR, which is a principle advantage of LSES, is not so necessary in a phono stage, I wouldn't think. Now I will duck into my fox hole and await comment up or down. Did JLH use an LSES to power his LCR phono stage?
