RE: small electrolytic exploded next to cooked 7w resistor- shall I replace?

The Decameron, hi. Hmmm. Difficult to say based on the information provided. Do you have a schema? Heat is an enemy of electrolytics to be sure. It sounds like you have deduced the pattern of failure but... There are so many variables/options. 680R 7W. Could be a V dropping R. Could be a Cathode to ground R. Is your amp Jadis? They seem to push everything to the limit. They sound good but any amp that pushes things to the red line is a failure just waiting to happen - perhaps spectacularly. Hope you get it up and running soon. Is your amp point to point wired or circuit board?
