Hello all, I have a NOS dac with 8 x 1543 dacs. 6 of the 8 caps located on the underside of the board below each chip have failed, the insides of the cap are protruding out of the casing. These are cheap honsing caps, question is what usually makes a cap fail this way or is cheap quality most likely the reason. The MFR will send me a new dac but why bother it will probably happen again, the caps are 10uf 16v electrolytics. What brand caps would you suggest and should they be low ESR. Also the power supply caps are cheap Teapo's and should be replaced also, what caps would you use here? Thanks.
Phill
