andy, hi. You'd have to try them to find out. Since the BG are going extinct more than likely you won't. Too bad. In a PS they can work wonders. Ditto as cathode bypass. There are those who like to slam BG for reasons having nothing to do with sound. They hate them because they are costly. Funny cuz I only thought the WKZ could be considered pricey. Ironic cuz it's the WKZ series (500V tube B+) that are going extinct the fastest. They hate them because they can't be bought cheap on e-bay. Some people are only happy when a purchase mimics thievery. I guess it takes all kinds. I like to mix the BG with dry and wet polyprop in a PS. You'll find the same kind of love/hate thing with push-pull versus SET. You know in a way I'm glad the Black Gate haters are out there. It'll slow the BG extinction.
