RE: JJ 300B - loose bases - inverted operation

Michael, hi. Whoa! What a great looking amp! I love the whole gestalte. You could make it more 'Forbidden Planet' if you used copper instead of Al or perhaps Krel Metal. Just kidding. Did you start with the top plate and build the rest from there? I don't think you have to de-solder the lead out wires from the pins per se. I think it is a silicone rubber bonding problem of some kind. Sorry about the torqing the base pro forma lecture. Chalk it off to reflex. I had no idea you were so far down the thermionic trail. Some very nice iron on that amplifier. Wow. I'm impressed. What are your outputs? I love the perforated aluminum panels.
It is getting into Interossiter territory for sure.
