gonebad, hi. Please get those 10,000 uF electrolytic caps off your list for PS parts. Throwing huge amounts of capacitance at a PS is a wrong headed notion. This is not a "more is better" situation at all. You will be better served with a C L C or even a C L C L C. A choke input PS is also a good sonic option but your margin of error will be smaller to get it right. I have a home brew 300B/50 amp with a grand total of 60 uF - C L C - that is faster and more musical than another esoteric 300B amp that started life with parallel 1200uF and no choke. Yes, you should stick with anything that is not electrolytic. I would experiment with dry polypropylene too - even combinations of wet and dry. I exclude Black Gate and Cerafine from my "do not use" list but since BG is going extinct and Cerafine has been going that way even longer perhaps this caveat is not needed. Happy Listening.
